Who We Support

The Byre provides tailored respite care for adults aged 18 and over, including people who have:

  • Autism and complex communication needs
  • Learning disabilities
  • Behaviours that challenge
  • Emotional, psychological, or sensory support needs

We specialise in support for people with complex needs, offering flexible 1:1, 2:1, and 3:1 support to ensure each individual receives the structure, reassurance, and personalised care they require.

Our Homes

The Byre has been designed to balance comfort, independence, and shared experiences. The space includes:

  • A large, welcoming living area for relaxation and social interaction
  • A dedicated dining room and fully equipped kitchen
  • A practical laundry room supporting daily living skills
  • Three spacious bedrooms tailored to individual needs:
    • Two bedrooms with private en-suite bathrooms
    • One bedroom with an accessible walk-in wet room

This thoughtful layout promotes privacy while offering shared spaces where people can connect and enjoy time together.

How We Ensure Quality Care

We are fully registered with and regulated by Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW).

To maintain high standards and continuous improvement, we carry out regular quality monitoring, including:

  • Monthly progress reviews and internal audits
  • Six-monthly quality of care reports
  • Ongoing feedback from individuals and their families
  • Support with advocacy and complaints where needed
