Meet Shane, our Managing Director for Wales.

Shane Pocock, Partnership of Care Managing Director for Wales, has over 18 years of experience in adult social care. He began his career as a support worker in mental health services. During this time, he learned how consistent and person-centred support can transform someone’s life. He later supported people with learning disabilities and autism in residential settings. As a result, he developed a strong and practical understanding of complex needs.

After six years in frontline roles, Shane progressed to a home manager position. This opportunity helped him build confident leadership skills while working with several care organisations. He gained valuable experience in supporting staff teams, improving service quality, and maintaining excellent standards. In addition, he continued to keep people at the heart of every decision he made.

In June 2024, Shane joined Partnership of Care as Responsible Individual. His focus was clear. He aimed to strengthen consistency, improve oversight, and ensure every service delivered safe, meaningful support. Because of his dedication and leadership, he was promoted in August 2025 to Managing Director for Wales.

Shane now oversees respite services, residential homes, day opportunities, and supported living across Wales. He works closely with managers and staff teams to ensure each person receives care that is safe, personalised, and enriching. Moreover, he supports teams to uphold choice, independence, and dignity in everyday life.

Shane remains passionate about shaping services that help people thrive. Therefore, he promotes a culture of learning, reflection, and continuous improvement. His leadership ensures that Partnership of Care delivers high-quality support across Wales, every single day.
